First Candidate Forum

On July 28, 2022 I was invited to my first Candidate Forum sponsored by Americans Rising. This forum was hosted in the coolest man cave I’ve ever seen, complete with a neon sign over the door. This place was designed for dreamers chasing their dream and you know that was right up my alley. As soon as I stepped in the door I saw a classic Camaro up on racks and a poster of Linda Carter in all of her Wonder Woman glory. I knew I was in the right place.

The night was a wonderful success with a great opportunity to chat with local voters and other candidates. I’ll have to get into the habit of recording myself so I can share with everyone. I knew I had some good things to say by the amount of heads I saw nodding.

One of the best parts of the night started early and ends with this post. A voter who immediately told me he wouldn’t vote for me because I’m a Democrat at the beginning of the night. After I spoke he told me I did a good job and he wants to see me in that Wonder Woman costume as he pointed to the Linda Carter poster on the wall. We all laughed and I said I’d start working on my Halloween Costume.

I could fast until Halloween and not look as good as Linda Carter did in the 70’s. Fortunately for me and you, I have a wonderful friend named Doc Ivan who created this beautiful piece of digital artwork so we can all see me as Wonder Woman now.

I have a whole Wonder Woman thing that started in 2018 when they announced Wonder Woman 1984 was going to be released on All Saints Day 2019. I was in the beginning stages of my Presidential campaign and I took that as a sign. I was over the moon. I was on a podcast on 11/08/2018 and I told the host and all the listeners that now was the time for a Wonder Woman to step out of the pages of a book to defeat the Nazi and it was me, this was my time and I could prove it.  The Universe was conspiring in my favor. WW84 was being released on All Saints Day and that’s my birthday.

My heart broke when the marketing was pulled and the release date was moved to May 2020. Who did I make mad? We all know what happened in May 2020 and the release was pushed back again. WW84 was released on Thanksgiving 2020, after the election and the theme of the movie really got to me. No one wished they could unwish a wish as much as I did, I was sure I’d messed everything up.

The changes that took place in my life between November 2018 and 2020 were devastating for me.  Now I’m looking towards 11/08/2022 because that’s my first Election Day. I’ve qualified to be on the ballot for State Senate in Florida’s 4th District against Clay Yarborough. Wonder Woman was formed from clay. I’m descended from a tribe of female Amazon warriors called Dahomey. You’ll know them when you google them. #WakandaForever

Everything happens for a reason. You can try to second guess God, but he’ll show you every time who’s in charge and prove to you his plan is better than yours. Nothing ever happened to me, it all happened for me and I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.  On 11/01/2022 I’ll turn 47 and one week later I’ll win my first election, then I’ll be the 47th President. Bet.
